“Festa Junina” is a very traditional Brazilian Country style event that is held on mid-June all over Brazil to celebrate the cult to the saints Anthony, John and Peter.
Saint John has, among the three, the biggest number of devotees. According to the popular faith he is the responsible for the harvest of corn and of a local kind of green beans that occur at that time. Even when there is no bountiful crop the saint is celebrated with much faith and many parties.
The "Forro" dance and rhythms is the main ingredient of the party. In show houses, in the streets, in the bank offices, in the shops, and in all spaces of Brazil, the joy strengthens the colors that involve the cities.
Our event will have Live “Forró” Band, DJ, up to $1000 in Prizes, “Forró” Dance Contest, Typical Foods and Drinks and much more.
